The material itself is stainless steel grade 316, an alloy of iron, chromium, nickel and carbon. Grade 316 offers meaningfully better resistance to corrosion than the more common grade 304, which matters if the urn is placed outdoors, near the coast, or in a garden setting where moisture and changing conditions are part of daily life. This mini urn for ashes is made by hand in the Netherlands by specialist craftspeople using the best available materials. That process takes time. Filling the urn

Everything you need to fill and seal the urn is included. The kit contains an ash bag, a cable tie to secure it, a cleaning cloth to prepare the inner rim, and a high-bond double-sided seal for the cap. The process is straightforward: place the ash bag inside with part of it left protruding to act as a funnel, fill, secure the bag with the cable tie, tuck it into the opening, clean the inner rim, then press the cap firmly into place until it sits flush. If you prefer not to use the ash bag, a funnel is recommended to avoid spillage. You are also welcome to let the crematorium or funeral director handle the filling. If the urn ever needs to be reopened, our technicians can do that for you.

Practical reassurance: durability, sealing and guarantee

Grade 316 stainless steel is robust enough that the ashes can be placed directly inside without a bag, and the seal is fully airtight and rated to withstand significant pull force. That said, if you think the ashes may need to be moved or redistributed at some point in the future, keeping them in the bag gives you that flexibility. The urn carries a ten-year guarantee, and there is a 30-day return period on all memorial items if you change your mind.

Laser engraving

Laser engraving is available as a personalization option for this cremation urn. A focused laser beam, guided by computer, etches the surface with precision. You can have a name, a date, a short phrase, or an image applied, in grayscale or in color. The better the resolution of your image file, the crisper the result. When you place your order, you will be able to select the engraving option and upload your image or text directly.
