The story behind legendURN

legendURN was founded by Sander van den Berg and Joe Kramer. Their friendship goes back to primary school and has lasted for more than 40 years. In 2007, they decided to turn that long-standing connection into a business partnership.

The starting point was not one personal loss story, but the belief that families deserved more choice, better quality and more human guidance when selecting a cremation urn, cremation jewelry or a memorial product. At the time, the online range of urns and memorial items was very limited. Many urns looked standard, impersonal and difficult to choose from.

This led to an international search for meaningful memorial items, high-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship. That search remains an important part of legendURN today. The collection continues to develop, with classic, modern, understated, artistic and very personal forms of remembrance.
