How filling the charm works

Inside the charm is a small compartment for holding a portion of cremated remains. The top or base section unscrews to open the compartment for filling. When you order, we include a digital filling guide that walks you through each step, including how to seal the charm securely once filled. If you would prefer not to do this yourself, a funeral director, crematorium or family member can help. There is usually a small charge for this service.

The interior space is designed to hold cremated remains or a small amount of grave soil only. It is too small to hold a lock of hair. If preserving a lock of hair is important to you, we have other memorial jewelry pieces designed specifically for that purpose.

Dry the charm after contact with water and store it somewhere dry when you are not wearing it. With that simple routine, the finish stays bright and the closure continues to function reliably.
