Engraved into the surface, present forever

A photograph, a name, a date. Sometimes that is enough to say everything that needs to be said. Laser engraving makes it possible in a way that will not fade, lift or disappear over time.

How laser engraving works

A concentrated beam of light, guided by computer, works across the surface of the urn with exceptional precision. No paint or ink is involved. The image, text or date is engraved directly into the material, making it a permanent part of the urn itself. That demands accuracy, both from the technology and from the file you provide. The sharper and higher the resolution of your image, the more precise the finished result. This is not batch production. Each piece is worked individually.

What you can have engraved

You choose what appears on the urn. Options include:

  • A portrait photograph or a meaningful image
  • A name, a date of birth and date of death
  • A short phrase, an initial or a personal symbol

The engraving appears in black and gray tones, producing a calm, clear result that sits naturally with the character of the urn.

Practical considerations before you order

The quality of the engraving depends directly on the quality of the file you supply. A high-resolution image is strongly recommended, ideally 300 dpi or above. A small or blurred photograph will produce a less defined result. If you are unsure whether your file is suitable, it is worth getting in touch before placing your order. Correcting a problem afterward, on a cremation urn that has already been engraved, is not possible, and this is not a moment where you want to be managing disappointment.

Because each urn for ashes is engraved individually, please allow approximately two additional weeks for delivery. Before you submit your order, read your text carefully, check every name and every date, and if possible ask someone else to look it over too. That extra minute is always worth taking.

A choice that stays

Choosing laser engraving means choosing something lasting. Not as decoration, but as recognition. The years you shared, the person who was there. Having that engraved into the surface of the urn is an act of care that remains visible long after.

If you are unsure which image or wording would feel most fitting, we are happy to think it through with you, at whatever pace suits you, and without any pressure.
