Hand-cast and fired twice

Ceramic has been used for thousands of years, from ancient Egypt to the present day, because it endures. This keepsake urn is made using a traditional slip-casting process from a plaster mold. Once dry, the surface is smoothed by hand and fired at 900°C. A glaze is then applied and the piece goes back into the kiln at 1,050°C. That second firing is what gives this ceramic its characteristic solidity and its smooth, even finish. Because each piece is made and finished by hand, no two are identical.

The Golden Lila is designed to belong among the things you already live with. Its brown glaze and considered proportions make it as fitting on a window ledge as on a bookshelf. This is a cremation urn that carries quiet meaning, shaped by the bond you shared rather than by any need to make a statement.

Placement and care

Ceramic is a durable material, though glazed surfaces benefit from careful handling. Keep the urn on a stable surface, away from moisture and direct heat. For indoor use, glazed ceramic is well suited: the glaze protects the surface and the piece can be wiped clean gently with a dry or lightly damp cloth. This urn is designed for indoor placement only.
