The story behind the design

This angel was created by a Dutch sculptor with a background in figurative bronze art. He made his first angel as a personal tribute to his son, who died young. From that grief grew a collection in which symbolism, emotional depth and refined detail are central to every piece. Each urn still carries that origin.

The urn is made from high-quality PLA filament, a durable, biodegradable material of natural origin. Every piece is hand-finished individually, which means no two urns are identical in character. The finish is available in three colors: bronze, bluestone and sandstone. Choosing a color is not a minor decision. Practical reassurance for indoor and outdoor use

This urn for ashes is suitable for both indoor and outdoor placement, but the material performs best when given a degree of shelter outdoors.

Care and placement

PLA filament is robust and holds its form well, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or severe frost can affect the finish over time. If you are placing the urn outside, a sheltered position works best: a covered terrace, a garden niche or a spot under an overhang. For cleaning, a dry or lightly damp cloth is all that is needed. Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners. Inside, the urn requires no special maintenance.

A place that means something

The angel's pose is deliberate. The figure holds a gentle, encompassing stance, present and open to the space around it. The artist designed it this way so that wherever you place the urn, it remains part of the space rather than apart from it. Over time, that spot becomes somewhere you return to.
