Each urn begins as high-quality clay, shaped by hand from start to finish. During firing, a layer of liquid bronze bonds directly to the ceramic surface, which is how that deep, characteristic color is achieved: it sits within the material, not on top of it. From the first shaping to the finished piece, the process takes around four weeks. That is not a production line. It is craft.

Because of Geert's distinctive approach and considered detail, his pieces are rarely recognized as urns at first glance. They read as art objects. If you would like text engraving added, it is best to discuss that at the point of ordering so it can be incorporated during the making process rather than applied afterward.
