The urn is made from grade 316 stainless steel, an alloy of iron, chromium, nickel and carbon with greater resistance to corrosion than the more common grade 304. The matte black powder coating gives the surface a deep, even color that sits quietly in any interior. This urn is designed for indoor use.

Handmade in the Netherlands

Each urn is made by hand in the Netherlands using the best available materials. That takes precision and time. The standard lead time is four to six weeks. In many cases dispatch is possible sooner, but we quote six weeks to avoid disappointment. Image engraving can be added directly to the surface of the stainless steel. Construction, sealing and filling

Grade 316 stainless steel does not crack or shatter if knocked or dropped. The urn is sealed using double-sided adhesive tape with high bonding strength, creating a fully airtight closure. You can place the ashes directly into the urn, or use the supplied ash bag if you want to keep the option open of moving the ashes at a later date. All accessories needed for filling and sealing are supplied with the urn. If you would prefer not to fill the urn yourself, your crematorium or funeral director can do this, and if the urn ever needs to be reopened for any reason, our technicians can assist.

Guarantee and returns

This funeral urn carries a 10-year guarantee. You also have a 30-day return period on all memorial products. If you change your mind after receiving it, you can return the urn without giving a reason.

Do I need to use an ash bag, or can I place the ashes directly in the urn?

Both are possible. Because grade 316 stainless steel is robust and the closure is fully airtight, placing the ashes directly inside is perfectly suitable. If there is any chance you may want to move the ashes in the future, using the supplied ash bag gives you that flexibility. The choice is yours, and there is no wrong answer.

Can I commission a custom design?

If you have a design in mind that is different from the standard model, it is possible to work together on a bespoke piece. You can send a sketch, a photo or a reference, and a design and quotation will be drawn up for your approval.
