Layers of enamel are then applied in graduated color tones, and the piece goes back into the kiln at 1,050°C. That second firing is what sets the color, seals the gloss and determines the long-term durability of each piece. Ceramic production at this level demands patience and precision, and both are visible in the finished urn.
